oy. i just realized what i wrote.

what i meant to say was...

"if and/or when you get in an frontal accident where the front airbag would usually deploy, you'll get tattoo'd w/ a faceful of sparco leather instead."

Looks good! Do you still have the need to reach for the buttons on the steering wheel to adjust volume/mode with your finger tips? lol.

what happens to the airbag. I am more for safety that quick release steering wheels. The GS has an automatic wheel that moves up to let you in and out. What if you crash at the track????

don't know about the retractable steering wheel function, although a faceful of sparco leather at track speeds = instant fail.

oh, i'm sorry, are we getting technical here? i must've forgotten to put a winking smiley. here, let me add one now...

btw, maybe a high-speed exercise in physics might prove my point: drive fast enough into something big and solid enough, and you'll find that even seatbelts won't save your face from the sparco steering wheel.

and in case you haven't noticed by now, i'm not a big fan of a sparco steering wheel on a STREET car. that, and removing standard safety equipment for aesthetic reasons is a recipe for fail in the event of an accident.

i also did not know that you drive around the block with a racing helmet.

oh, and you're welcome.
