At 61,000 miles, your car is out of warranty. Why were you thinking battery/alternator/starter? Was the car cranking slowly?

Its prob ur battery, cause the same thing happened to my car, at exactly(63,000km) 2 years to the day, my car dies, lights turn on though and the ac works, but car doesnt start. Its makes that sounds like a toy machine gun when u try and turn it on.

Change ur battery ( our batteries have a life span of 2 years of heavy driving) and car will b up and running. As for warranty even if ur car is under warranty the battery is a consumable and you probably have to pay out of pocket (atleast here in dubai u do)

I would think it is the battery problem also. I left my HID all night and when I tried starting it the next day, it had the same problem as you..when it starts just leave the engine on for 30 minutes. Go on a cruise for 30 minutes so the battery recharges itself..

I just had my car in for the engine rattle at start up & they replaced my battery under warranty, the work order said it failed load test. Although I never had a problem like yours I did notice that sometimes when I'd start the car it would sound like it was about to start but it just puffed and didn't start. The only thing I could of thought of was that I feathered the Start button but I guess it was a battery issue. Anywho under warranty at 35k they gave me a new battery.
