i just installed them they gave me a scare at first cuz it tripped the VSC check and engine check light on. Then i realized i read something about if you turn your car on while the air intake is removed it throws a code. but i took it to autozone they plugged a scanner into the comp and cleared it and it went away. the lights look great white with a blue tint will post pics once i get my hands on a camera this weekend.
O where did you guys mount you ballast i ziptied them in the same place as the DIY on the forum FaQs . but don't feel to comfortable with them there.
if you could post some pics of where and how you mounted yours.
Thankyou
and thankyou cliff from mobilehid loving the kit so far

I wouldn't be worried. A ballast that is running for a few minutes gets extremely hot to the touch anyway, so I doubt some hot air from the engine compartment will do much out of the ordinary.
Ballasts are built like rocks. I have a pair just resting on the fender underliner in front of the front wheels, bouncing around. No problem. I've immersed many ballasts in water with no problem. If anything, seal up the actual connections with electrical tape.
