Question Nokia E71x BT Connection problems. Phone or Navi Map Disc?

Hi All,

I did a search... did not find any answers my fit my question. Not sure if it is my phone or my outdated 2006 Navi Map Disc. (mine has the bypass. the top left, bottom right, and etc).

Car works fine with MOTO and BB but not sure about Nokia.

Symptoms:
- ACC on
- E71x connects to NAV
- in-comming/outgoing call
- answer with NAV
- let time go by....
- the other party disconnects first
- Nav displays error. "Call terminated by network"

Now at this point, your car thinks it is connected to the phone. The screen still says "CONNECTED" WTF!

Use the phone to call or receive, still not connected!

It takes manual disconnect from the NAVI and then manually connect for it to "CONNECT" again. Also, a restart works too!

Please help!

I don't mind upgrading the mapdisc cuz i have an original 2007 mapdisc.

Thanks!

thats weird, I had a Nokia E71 too before and it worked like a charm.

If other phone work, that means something is wrong with the phone.

My old Sony Ericsson S700i does what your E71, I have to restart the phone everytime it happens.

I suggest changing phone? lol

Try resetting the phone *#7370# and then it will prompt to enter password...Enter 12345 on the keypad!! It will restart the phone like new phone!!

Make sure you sync everything with the computer using Nokia PC Suite before resetting the phone!!

Good luck.

I have that same phone and 7.1v navi. The issue you're describing has happened to me once since I started using the phone few weeks ago. Otherwise I have had no problems.

I see. I might as well upgrade my map disc.

Can you confirm it is the same symptoms?

Thank you,
