06-08 vs 09 Grille
I know this has been asked many times, yet no one seems to give a definitive answer as of yet. So I wanted to ask to see if anyone's actually test fitted an 08 JDM Blitz Carbon Fiber Grill for ISx50, or any replicas there of, onto an 09 grilled. I know the outside perimeter of the grille has changed, but has the space inside for the grille insert actually change?
Also, I asked for the pricing of the front lip spoiler for 09's at the dealership and they quote $266 for the front set, painted. Here's another odd thing, she said the GFX "KIT" will cost around $460 unpainted. I thought that was rather suspect considering sewell charges a bloody arm and a leg ($1200) for the 09's.
Gonna talk to her in person next week intead of email just to make sure. If it's only 460, I just got myself a new bodykit!

I remember hearing that Lexus had discontinued the 06-08 GFX kit but I'm sure they are around. You may have to paint it at this point though.

Based on my experience: it does not fit...
Tried exchanging inner grilles with my cousin a while back. It was a replica mesh grille on my 08 for his 09 inner grille. I didn't like the replica fitment and wanted to try out the 09 grille...
The outcome: fail... the outer form of the grilles match but the tabs that snap onto the grille surround are totally different...
I'm currently running with my stock grille... replica sitting in the garage collecting dust... authentic blitz grille on the way
I think it can be done with some modifications to the grille and the grille surround... but not sure if anyone else has tried and make it work...
Good luck!

None of the OEM grilles are interchangeable - we've tried. We tried the grille surrounds and the inner mesh in the attempt changing the style of the grille and nothing was close to matching to pull-off the swap.
As for the 2006-2008 GFX components, these have been discontinued from Lexus since 2008. Only the leftover stock is available. We have plenty of the front lip spoilers still available in most colors; for the sides and the rear lips, all the popular colors are already gone.
For the 2009 front lip spoiler, they're expensive. These too are not interchangeable amongst other years.
Just wait until you see the 2011 front lips!
