I do want it now, but I guess I can't be in a rush for such a big purchase.
With the 2010, I heard MSRP is going up. The change isn't all that significant aside for an upgraded navi.
If I can stick with the 2009, I'd do that.
Do you guys think I should renegotiate if I'm getting another color? Or you doubt they'll do that since the car is rare which gives me minimal leverage and I basically deposited and signed the "contract"

IS250 doesn't have as much power. If you're looking for a quick 0-60 time to keep up with the bimmer, get a 350. I've driven mine for over 20k miles - bought it with 40k already, and it's still as new. only change oil and tires.

Hey man I was on the same boat with you. I went to the dealer a month ago and settled for a black obsidian is350 with black interior. It took them a month to locate one and they told me I was lucky since the car was the last black/black interior they had in the states. They told me that if the car couldn't me reached, I needed to wait about 4-5 months for special delivery from Japan. My car comes on wenesday August 5th and I will post some new pictures up on the forum =P. Sorry to say but I took the last is350 black/black interior lol xD

My dealer told me 2 months for a special build. Again, I am skeptical since the 2009 production is probably winding down by now...
Black and black is nice. But my parents have a say in the color choice as well. I wish it was as easy as that.

yeah, special order is 4-5 months....i work here at the port in jacksonville, and we get the ships in from japan. i put in a special order for an is-convertible 6 speed manual w/ nav....its a very rare combo......and my car will be here in december. it will be produced in japan in october. i am in no hurry, because my rx400h lease ends in december.....but it is a long process.

I called around. Most said they don't have any.
I'm just waiting to see what to do about my current contract. If I determine that I can cancel the order, I'll start looking again.
