Oil Change - 5w-20 or 5w-30? What everyone is using?

Ok, yeah I wasn't sure about that though I did recall somewhere that 5w-20 was recommended then you kind of refreshed my memory when you mentioned MY 2006. It was a TSB for MY 2006 that recommended the 5w-20, not the cap and manual, correct?

The standard setting is every 5K miles from the factory..
But for those who don't know, that reminder setting can be changed to every 10k miles easily..

Yet another data point that shows we are all spending too much in changing on oil, both in frequency and type of oil. I attached the UOA I received today. Granted, I drive with a light foot, with a 26 mile commute each way. However, those of you doing changes at 5K with the expensive stuff are really wasting your money.1.pdf

is what I used. It's $22.50 for the test, the collection kits are mailed to you for free, though you'll have to do the sucking (or draining) yourself to get the oil.
Really it's kind of an unnecessary expense given how many have been posted on this forum. I'm going to settle on 1 year, 10K mile changes with a brand name synthetic and not use the UOA anymore unless I drastically change my driving habits, OCI, or oil choice.
