but in CA, THERE ARE TOOOOOO MANY 2iS so it doesn't really get any attention unless you do some mods to your car
you wanna make your car like that
put
rims
slam it
body kit
and you are SET ~!

As other people have mentioned, it depends where you live and how many IS's there are in the area. However, it's not like the IS sales number mimics a Honda Accord or anything.
Anyway, my car is pretty much stock, but it frequently turns heads.

I haven't noticed many Sport/X package models in the Phoenix area. My 350 with X package kind of sticks out IMO and it's only stock.
The next thing I need on it is a rear spoiler, makes the car look so much better IMO.

You should have bought your car 3.5 years ago. Back in 2005, I couldn't park or buy gas without getting peppered with questions and comments. Now the 2IS is so common that it's practically invisible. Like IS-SV said, a few tasteful mods can make it stand out from the crowd.

Totally agree, it all depends where you live. In L.A., not too much because they are so common.
But what I do find is color makes a big difference. I am getting more looks and comments with my Glacier Frost than I have ever had with any car I've owned. They don't care about the car, they care about the color! lol I never saw this coming when I made the purchase.

lol. I wish. Unfortunately, we've had a lot of California imports, so in addition to our property taxes doubling (due to demand) our roads are really (unnecessarily) crowded (with actual cars). ;-)
