Don't feel bad. Your Idaho property taxes could probably double a few more times and still not be as bad as what we pay in NJ....

(We also have amongst the high car insurance premiums in the country, but at least we have some of the cheapest gas)

 

This used to be an eyecandy but there's wayyyy too many of the isx here on the freeway. But I Gotta Say I haven't seen much that has rim, drop, n kit. They mostly stock is250.

 

It's mostly the color, then car style, then mods. I got more looks in my previous Indigo Blue Car than me Smokey Granite Mica IS.

 

I think it looks clean. Although I have Tungsten Pearl, it's as good as chocolate.

 

If you live in Hollywood, then it is, as everyone is driving Lambo's

It depends on where you are.

It's eye candy on a college campus, for example, because everyone is driving used $5k-$10k cars

go to USC, Stanford, UCLA, UCSD etc..

Any modded 2IS should be eye candy since the Lexus community is so small compared to others..

 

that's very true, the students at stanford tend to be students from wealthy families (wealthy families tend to push their children to excel academically, etc.) and a lot of them get the $40k-$60k cars new.

 

imo, it's pathetic that a person would to need a car to attract attention from the opposite gender and/or to gain respect from your peers.

the primary purpose of a car is to get from point A to point B. you can mod it to get it (marginally) faster from point A to B and/or mod it according to your personal preference/liking/style.

to use a car for any other primary purpose (i.e. see statement #1) is a grand waste of money.

 

A car's style can be an extention of a person. When I was shopping around for the IS, I kept thinking, "does this car fit me, my lifestyle, my personality, do I like the lines, is it styled to my taste?" It's more than just grabbing public attention. I am sure there are some needy or insecure people out there who use their car soley for attention (sadly). But I believe it's much more encompassing for the average Joe or auto enthusiast.
