Default Removing airbag pillar

Guys, is there anyway to remove the passenger side airbag pillar without damaging the airbag? I've got an awful rattle that is coming from inside the pillar. I know its coming from in there because when I apply pressure to it the rattle goes away.

Any ideas?

Well, I've never removed the B pillar on the IS, but I have removed an A-pillar on a Sequoia with airbags.

The pillar just covered the airbag on that model. The airbag was wrapped up and and attached to the a-pillar itself, not the plastic cover.....so, you pretty much removed the cover the same way as any other car.

yeah its pretty easy. just to be safe, i disconnect the negative terminal on the battery as it says do so on tis. after that remove the side door panel piece that holds the end of the pillar, be careful the door triming is attached there as well.

then the pillar will simply be pulled off, its attached with velcro and a little plastic pita that holds the pillar on during air bad deployment.

this was what i did in order to remove the driver pillar in my is.
