Vinyl Roof - do it or don't do it!
I've seen pics of IS with vinyl roofs on this forum, IMO, looks awesome!! But pics can be deceiving - at times.
Having said that I haven't seen an IS with vinyl roof/shark fin in person yet. For those of you who have please tell me in your honest opinion, is it worth doing or don't do it.
My IS is Starfire Pearl, and I am thinking of having the roof/shark fin done in satin/matte black finish.

I haven't had a personal experience with vinyl so I can't say but I have mines painted and it's the sheet!

I plan on painting, it'll look much better than vinyl, already did research. I plan on painting my car a certain lexus color that isn't offered for the ISX50, so I'm going to do my roof and grill painted black.

I agree, nothing is better than paint. But IMO if the finish is done in matte/satin black (which is probably close to primer color) then you can't tell if it is vinyl or can you?

Hmmm... I haven't heard all these opinions about getting it painted. But I was actually planning on getting some vinyl done on the roof when I get my windows tinted. Is it really that much better to get it painted? Plus, it probably costs a bit more, huh?

That's what I figured as well. And if Porsche GTs, GTRs, Scuderia's etc...are getting full vinyl work, it can't be that bad. And I agree, the reason I'm more interested in vinyl vs. paint is because its reversible.
Are you kidn' about Gloss Black?
It's definitely the right finish to match with the sunroof, but at the same time, it may not look as nice as matte/satin; but again I never seen either finish.
