One more tire/awd question....

Well love67 said he tripped the sensor too but as soon as he replaced the wheels the warning went away... I've pulled my hair out researching this issue before I got my setup and his experience was the only factor giving me confidence to go ahead with it.
So again, hope nothing is wrong with yours. Should get the dealer to investigate why that light is still on.
But I would try to reset the car (disconnect batt for like half an hour) and see if it resets the warning.

haha! yes, i was being stupid put 17" in the front and 19" in the rear...and after 5mins drive..the light came on...but as soon as i put the 19" back on..the light went off right away. also yes, my shop called the lexus and ask...they said as long as it's within 1" diameter then it's ok, and it's true too...i was using 225/35/19 and 255/35/19, i believe it was 0.8" off..and the light never comes on... after i sold those wheels and tires, and got the 235/35/19 and 275/30/19( the best set up for 19") for my new wheels and been using it for 6-7 months now, and i never have any problem at all.

The only problem with the 225/45 on the front will be clearance from the fender liner. There are quite a lot of posts using 235/40 (similar diameter to the 224/45) where the tires have worn a hole in the liner. Some seem to work, others don't (doesn't appear to be the width - appears to be the larger diameter).
I wouldn't put a 225 on the rear - the rim is 1/2 inch wider and the 225 is already pretty flush with the front 8" rim. With a 225 on the rear 8 1/2 inch rim, the rim will be sticking out beyond the tire.
If your 225/45 fronts work after you re-set the warning light, I'd leave the rears alone but if you have any fouling at the front, I'd consider the 225/40 front with a lower profile 255 rear.

no wondering, lol....you org. set is like 0.9 inch off...plus the wear of tires, so "maybe" its over 1 inch...
well if you are worry about rubbing the front liner, you could the 255/35/18 in the rear, it's still good, only 0.1 inch off, so you are still safe.
however if you are not going to lower it, i don't think the 225/45/18 will rub tho, since AWD is higher than RWD anyway. and if you are not going to lower i would see the front or the rear tires which have the most life, and then choose change out the less life one, so that you can drive it more.
so here is your choice:
if not rubbing or not lower it, then see which have the less life of tires and change it out
if change the front, then it's 225/45/18. if change the rear, then it's 255/35/18.
hope this help. answer more question if you need!

Lol thanks, already did that and i didnt get numbers like you did lol...
This is just so confusing lol, my old car was simple any tires i wanted to use and could slamm it haha...
Ok so im fine now. I have 225/45/18s and 255/40/18s no rubbing and i went to another dealer and they said the light is on because first i drove the car with the tires being different sizes and then they checked and said all the tires are the same diameter and pressure is good... they scanned the car and said that it was because the TPMS. So they said we can reprogram them and they should all be good. but they want 130 for 1 hour labor. Can anyone else but the dealer do this and they also said that this may not be the problem and i will stay have to pay and pay more ontop of that if anything else needs to be done.
