Stock vs stock, and w no driver error....it can't. The 3 will simply walk away and the steering wont feel like mush. That's assuming the 3 isn't in the shop at the time of the race.

Eh we might as well "mag race" if we're going to talk in ideals.

The fastest bone stock IS 350 I've seen has done 0 to 60 in 4.72. Fastest bone stock 335i i've see has done 0 to 60 in 4.4-4.5, so yeah under super ideal conditions 335i stock would win.

But "no driver error" almost never happens.

It's nice to have a car that can theoretically do 4.4 one stock (335i) but is it really worth mentioning if you can't consistently achieve it?

I think practicality is an aspect of cars that is often overlooked. How consistently/how easily one can achieve a fast time is something that should matter to people.

SO true. I'm slow as molasses rowing gears in my 3. A better race would be up to 150, rather than 60. One major difference I noted between the two is the available power anywhere in the rev range in the 3. The IS does pull hard, but the revs need to be kept high.

13.93 with traction control on lol @ 103 mph (really wanna c wat happens with a well prepared track and VDMI completely disabled)
