maybe it's one of those scanning lights that are used instead of a standard LED for an alarm. Something that kit has on knight rider. hahaha. Who knows!

This is some old schoopl stuff. I use to wire these things all the time.
you just need a (+) and (-). Some have both (+ & -)and a signal. But if yours doesnt just make sure you wire to a (+) that has a running bat pwr when the car is switched off. Better yet probably best to tap the security light.

Can you explain what this is and what it's used for? I still don't understand what this is

hmsis250 is correct. It's an LED light bar that strobes from side to side like Kit from Knight Rider.

Benzo555: how would I wire it to a stock IS250? I want it to turn on with the blinking security light on the bottom of the audio panel. How would I tap to the security light? I think the led is soldered onto the circuit board.

Oh... if the OP is referring to the LED light like KITT from Knight Rider, that is straight up old school. I remember seeing them on Hondas all the time a few years back. In my opinion, a little tacky and draws too much unwanted attention. But to each his own. Get it if thats what you want. Don't mind what we say or think.

Saw my friend's honda with that thing on, I'd say stick it in the front grill and reincarnate KIT! Long Live Knight Rider!

Nope, he stated above what it is.
I personally think that it grabs too much attention to a parked car.
