Default Anyone running 19"F and 20"R?

It's not common for Lexus, but very common setup for NSX.

I think it will look pretty aggressive and proportion on the IS as well.

I've seen a couple people on this forum with that setup. Not my thing though!

Default ya i am

funny you mention the nsx. my rims are ronjon's devo3's which are made for nsx in the same size rims are 20x8.5 and 19.x8.5

225x35x19
255x30x20

i ran 235's up front and it rubbed. i want to try the 225x40x19 with the same 20's because then the tire calc will be dead on with oem variance. unfortunately it adds an additional 1lb or 2 to the unsprung weight. i love the setup except the 20's can't go wider (like 275 would be nice), and it did make it less agile, almost bumbling stumbling kinda feeling when going over bumps @100+. idk what i did to this thing but i'm def in the 4's. i've beat an m3 all the way to 130 (then he started getting within a car length but i quit). and a 335i stick was no competition. i'm 1-1 against a 05 v12 twin brabus (poor driving on his part?). i've lowered the unsprung weight considerably, and the greddy with cai really brought it to life. my gtech says i'm 4.6 but who knows. i'd def go back to 19's with as light weight rims as possible, some blk chrome works are my dream. idk about the 20's and 19's... its cool but ur adding weight, losing agility, and most of the time i stare at the two and can't tell the diff in size because of the tire sizes.

i've dumped the better part of my inheritance into this and its pathetic. i'll try and list what all i've done:

disc italia's, f-sport sways, toms braces, tanabe coils w/teas, afe dry w/k&n cai, had pulstars (performance at huge risk), toms LTS (sucks don't get it), led smoked rears, blkchrome pkg, greddy exhaust, blue led lexus thing in door steps, racing pedals, clipped cable nav hack, cf engine cover, focals up front polks 6500's in back, jl10w7 x 2, jl 1000/1 and (2) jl 450/4's, audio control, led side mirrors, toms rear kit, f-sport sides, 4 diff front lips (vertex, lexani(?), fabulous, and f-sport), silver 7 piece upgrade instead of woodgrain, smoked reflectors, led interiors, escort 9500i (blue), cf shifter, kinetik hc1800, lexani grills chrome upper, black chrome lower, idk i'm done but yes i'm ashamed of what i've done.

oh bilsteins sucked, the fsport springs were decent tho. agm battery is big plus but big weight. had a 3sixty2 and liked it better than audiocontrol, 9500i is so sick, tanabe's, eh. coils are gay for a poser like me, the teas is cool until all ur friends have seen it, disc italias fo life, LTS is retarded waste of money, oh i got chrome eyeliners all around... gay as ****, fav lip was the lexani, focals are soooo much better than anything out there, led interiors kinda flicker and r too white, kinetik batt is sweet but like 55 lbs, the grilles worked out reall good, oh and the greddy... the greddy turns your car into a monster - after that went in - nothing but evo's and sti's hanging quick rights. nobody wanted none. pulstars had immediate perf, but then ecu compensated, then they misfired, to risky. afe dry is the only way to fly, screw wetting down k&n, just use their pipe. cf engine cover - waste of 700bucks. disc italias never rust, they're light as hell, they never squeek, i love em.d

sorry so long - i won't b back for a while to check so i thought i would just put it all down. and if the pic doesn't show check my album i guess, i've never posted before. but i have really learned alot from all u guys and really appreciated it these last 2 yrs.

Unfortunately, as much as I like the idea I have 19" rims already.

But if I had to do it all over again, I will probably do it.

This is not my car, but I think the Works Meister SP1 will look awesome with the setup.

I just typed "19 20" in the 2nd gen IS search, and I found all these. Search next time.

I wasn't really looking for pics, but thanks for posting.

I wanted to know if any members here are running the setup. Because my question to the owner would have been, how is the performance and handling?

i dont think the 2is can quite pull it off. a bit to aggressive for my taste. maybe 19"s up front and 19 1/2" rear

Eh, I always thought that having bigger rims on the back would look more proportional to the body of certain cars... but it doesn't look right with the isx50

it just really depends too how big the rear lip is. If you get a set of wheels with a big lip, the face of the rear wheels would look smaller. I was actually thinking about doing this.
