I understand that people are very concerned about their warranty on their beautiful IS's but really,
Warranties will only be voided if the dealer deams that whatever you did to modify your car caused the issue.

I agree, it should and would not void your warranty. What color are you planning on painting them?

As far as warranty goes the law is that "if the modification is the cause of the problem" per B.A.R. Basically if the modification did not cause the failure then the warranty still stands.

Don't do it, you're going to regret it.

I didn't want to mess with masking and spray-containment issues on my RX-8, so painted mine with Rustoleum aluminum-colored paint (looks like shiny silver) and a 1/2 inch paintbrush. The first painting lasted more than three years before I applied a touch up.

I painted mine with logo...and just brought in for service for some recall work. One of them being the front brake pad "less dust" upgrade under warranty. No hassles, nor comments made by the service adviser. Do it!!!

Do it yourself. It'll be ok. They sell caliper paint at the local autozone/O'riley's/Advanced auto part/etc...

You can do this project yourself. Read the DIY thread, get your supplies and take your time. Very easy to do
