Nice job! I've had both cars and they both feel very quick! Of course, something seems out of place, but like a few others said, perhaps traction issues.

+1 Lots of possibilities...
IS-F driver could be color blind, green looks orange, looking back to make sure his baby boy is strapped on tight, trying to save gas, forgot it was an automatic, endless possibilities.

Well 2nd time is also a good reason..

Launching an IS-F at a drag strip takes lots of skill. Traction is a major issue.

If you spin the wheels the race is over quickly, especially on an 1/8th mile track.

Now if this was on a 1/4 mile track, he would have passed you up on his second run. Its pretty clear his 1st run was a bust ending at 60mph

****People, the driver makes the car.. The car doesn't make a good driver..

Racing on a dragstrip takes quite a few practice runs before you figure what is going on and "How it works"..

Inexperienced driver on a dragway will have results like this..

Honestly, there is really NO NEED to see the time slips or video.
It is really irrelevant at this point.

Cool for the IS350.

btw - Aren't these runs generally done with all the electronic nannys operational (traction control, stability control, etc.), or not turned off.

I guess I'm surprised to hear either car is difficult to launch with electronic nannys running.

Well, both cars had the VDIM & TRAC turned off from the information I have been reading...

If they were left ON he probably would have won each time..

Having ALL of it Turned OFF is the way to run these cars effectively at the drag strip.

However, learning how to properly launch a car is a task in itself.

But seriously, we are comparing a 306 HP V6 vs. a 416 HP V8.

In this case the IS350 DRIVER won the race while the IS-F Driver lost the race..
Very simple and can happen easily, as seen here.

The key word is DRIVER.

Agreed, on the driver factor as the main one. Thanks for clarification on the use of electronics.
