the way i see CF hoods, our hood is already lightweight aluminum, that in itself is baller, anyone can buy an aftermarket CF hood for most cars, cant buy an aluminum one...

I'm with you, but I think it's totally a matter of personal preference. For some people that are trying to make their car look sporty and reach that "baller" status it works, but for those people close to stock that just add a CF hood....well imho it definitely cheapens the Lexus look.

This kind of makes me think about threads that ask "what color car should I get?" ... because really it's all personal preference.

HAHA yeah...I'm at work but I use CL as a break from reading through 200+ pg procedures..It's good for my eyes!!
If you tracked the car, then maybe a CF hood or trunk would be nice, but if you have it for the looks, it'll probably be nice when you get the rest of the stuff on your car as well.

IMO, a CF hood is not an upgrade. But each owner has unique taste.
