well, like i mentioned before, i have seen mazda have bad rusting problem after 3-4 years of ownership. even though everyone say modern cars are all zinc plated or galvanize.

• Cathodic Electro-Deposition treatment - this is what Irishman06 was talking about providing the bulk of the corrosion resistance. Zinc galvanizing isn't bad, but it's not all that great either. Using the chassis as a cathode in an electro-deposition process will be much more effective than just galvanizing the sheet metal before welding because the zinc will burn off at the welds and corrosion will start there first which just happens to be the worst place.

pop your trunk liner off, see if you have rust under there. first place i had rust not even 2 years old.

I doubt it, I have a 09 and i think thats a chip from taking out my tails or something. This is covered under warranty right? if so they'd probably just touch it up right?
