Question annoying noise from passenger side front door

hey guys i just installed my sl2vi on my IS 250 and the sound is awesome, however there is a weird sound of plastic crackling (to my best description) near the bottom speaker/storage pullout in the front passenger door. It is directly between where the speaker ends and the drawer begins, and wierdly if i hold the drawer pullout half way the noise is gone. Also if i push directly on that junction between the two peices the vibrating noise goes away. What can i do stop this as it annoys the hell out of me ...Thanks alot guys much appreciated!

^^ Yep. I had the same problem, and just installed some foam (not felt) tape on the upper corners of the map door.

Where do you get this felt/foam tape? I have a hard time finding a place to purchase.

I put mine at the upper-most corners of receiving section for the map door......not the map door itself.

For the foam tape: I had some laying around. But, you can probably get it at either Lowes/Home Depot or maybe at your local camper shell/cap/topper/tonneau cover dealer.

PS: Mine usually made noise in the winter time when it's cold. And, since I just did this a couple months ago, I don't know for sure if it's going to work. I gotta wait a few more months to find out

unfortunately mine makes a noise whenever higher frequencies of bass are emitted from the speaker, when i put my hand on the spot where the lowest speaker and map door meet, the noise disappears

That's the symptoms I'm talking about......it's just that it occurred when it was cold.

Professional audio installers use Dynamat, there are a lot of threads on the SC430 siote concerning the vibrations in the ML system. Good Luck

Why should this be a warranty issue???

Nothing's broken on the car. It's simply a function of the way the car is made, which is that the map pocket vibrates when there's bass.
