to all who have purchased the OEM window visors, did anyone actually use the toyota adhesive primer prior to installing the visors?

Hmm..just wipe it down w/ some soapy water and a nice microfiber and you should be good. No need for that other primer. It might stick TOO well and when it comes to uninstalling the visors it's gonna be a royal pain.

Yeah i was confused when I got them too, cause the instructions mention a primer as a tool but it doesn't come with the visors. So i just used some quick detailer and a microfiber cloth to clean it

Alcohol works best to prep the surface! No need for primer, the adhesive sticks well as long as its clean. Its also hooked in three different places. They're not falling off unless someone rips them off!

Rubbing alcohol and a microfiber. If you read the instructions tell you to wipe one direction. Not sure or how it makes a difference...but I did it anyway

not that it matters, but wiping in one direction collects the debris cleanly. While wiping in a side to side motion it just pushes the debris left to right leaving debris behind! I don't know if that makes sense. Like I said, it really doesn't matter as long as it clean. Hahaha!

the only thing holding me back from buying these is walking to my car one day to find someone tore one off or tried to.

question: i was thinking of redoing my tint; has anyone uninstalled them and put them back on?

You can't really be scare of everything. Just park it somewhere more safe. As far as tint, I think any tint shop could do it.
