Yeah, I was originally biased towards OEM, too, but turns out I wasn't too big on the specific light arrangement of the IS-F tails. I have no quarrels with the quality of the ebay styled LED lights, so other than going OEM just to say so (with other non-OEM parts on my car), it didn't make sense.

haha, the FIRST MOD on my car is the IS F tail light.

Changed it in less than 12 hours. LOL

I heard from a couple people with led tail light and the led inside the light get burnt out. (the led tail on Ebay for GS or IS), then you cannot replace it.

The led dot become dimmer or totally gone. = no brake light.

then your $250 bucks is gone.

I can change my light bulbs when it burnt out, and I can also sell my tail light because it is reusable.

If you can get the LED IS-F tail lights from a reputable dealer/vendor, then I say go for it, if thats what you like. If you can avoid dealing with ebay, do it, ebay is usually 50/50.

As for me, I'm going to save and get a set of OEM ones. Something about OEM gives me the comfort of knowing that the product "should" last. But thats just me and my opinion.

Now I found this set which is a killer deal.

Now I bought a set of GS LEDs from Carson in the past and I compared another set from fleabay it was the same sonar ones. Needless to say I spent like $400 and by friend spent like $200..
