Damn my 08' has Disc 7.1.. I wonder if this is worth upgrading??

 

So what's the difference between the v7 and the v9. Just more up to date maps? Or firmware impreovements also?

I still haven't upgraded my Nav disc from the original version that came with the car when bought new. I'm not sure if it's worth it or not, any feedback from anyone who has this version?

I ordered it last week. The release date is 9/1. Should arrive early next week. Expensive but no more than an external TomTom 340XL.

 

It is not available until 9/1/09 and Sewell will begin shipping the pre-orders then, of which one is mine. As I read the Sewell rebate form, only the prior version 8.1 disc is eligible for the rebate. Anything earlier doesn't qualify. Attached are the release notes for the latest version.

Thanks Dave. I ultimately want to see it for myself though and see if it has the updated freeways in my area that have been built as well as the new developments that are not currently on my map. If it doesn't have the areas important to me than I'm not getting it.

 

I still have my original that came in my 06 since i like to do the override when I drive and need to input something.
