Default How often do you guys check tire pressures?

I usually check every 2500 miles. I find that (usually) my front two tires have dropped anywhere from 1 to 2 psi. Sometimes the left tire will have dropped a bit more.

Rear tires seem to take longer to drop and they both tend to drop in equal increments.

ideally you should check your tire pressure at each fillup, but we all aren't going to do that... I check mine every month.

Every month or when the seasons change. Temperature has a big influence on tire pressure.

Personally, I've just programmed the TPS at 34-lbs. If it falls under 30-psi, it'll warn on the dash. No need to check the tires when technology is on your side.

Too bad we can't get quantitative measurements from the TPMS inside the cabin. BTW, when does the low tire pressure indicator light up?

I believe the low tire light goes on when TPS reads + or - 4 lbs from the set value.

I'll usually check all 4 tires every morning before work.
Then right before my lunch break, I'll bust out the pressure gauge just for kicks...
Mostly I'll check for the last time of the day when I get home that evening once the tires are nice and warm...

You know they say uninflated tires is the # 98,345 leading cause of death in the United States...

Umm.. yeah this was a complete joke.

Used to check it once a week but ever since I got the new wheels and the designer's were genius enough to stick the valve stem in the MIDDLE of the damn barrel I can't fit my hands through the spokes to check anymore so I've neglected to do so. And the fact that I now have a pipe bomb doesn't help at all..

I check it once a month; it sucks how when it says "Low Tire Pressure" it doesn't say which tire is "low".

I check at least once a month. This (and getting an alignment) will drastically lengthen the service life of your tires.

This is one of my biggest peeves on my Lexus... even cheap-*** GM cars will tell you the exact pressure of each specific tire from the dash display.... my considerably more expensive Lexus just has a "low or not" light, and doesn't even tell you which one is low.

I check at least once per month, and spot-check the tires every so often, as necessary.

During the winter when the car is stored at my father's warehouse, I will check the pressure every other week while I let the car run for 10-15 minutes so that it reaches operating temperature. Then once the winter is over I will bring it in to the dealership to have them perform maintenance on it and fill the tires up with nitrogen. I will spot-check it throughout the summer, but I've noticed that the pressure is pretty constant throughout the year.

Seriously. I was excited to have a TPMS in a car and then I find out that it is the most primitive form of a TPMS you can have. I have a freaking automatic rear window sun shade but the car can't tell me which tire is low let alone give me an actual pressure measurement for each tire. Lame.
