Using stock air filter in the F-Sport Intake

Does anyone see a problem with using the Lexus stock air filter in the F-Sport Intake instead of the washable filter that comes in the kit? Frankly, I'd rather just change the filter and throw out the old than go to the time and trouble of washing it and then waiting for it to dry before re-installing it. Plus it is extremely hard to close the air box with the reusable filter since the lip is thicker for some reason. Some on this group, I understand, actually had the clips break from this.
Second, with the extra hole directly into the air box, I wonder if there may be more of a chance of rain or slush damaging the filter (I live in Indiana, not one of the dryer climates). Thanks all.

It won't make a difference in cleaning ability, although it may be a little bit more restrictive than the F-Sport/K&N/HKS filters. You'd also need to be going into some deep puddles for any water to reach the F-Sport lower intake box, you should have no issues with slush/debris getting in there as that's a pretty tight area.
