I live in Chicago, and I gotta tell ya, you need to get all season tires. It snows a lot. I've got a 250 with manual so I'm not too sure how the 350 is in the snow, but it's not too bad for the 250 as long as you have decent tires. Winter tires won't hurt, but options are limited due to the staggered setup, and they're kind of a pain. My opinion, get some all season tires like Kuhmo Ecsta ASX's. They're great tires for the money.

Hey all,
I sold our 2006 IS250 in may and bought a 2008 IS350. I also just snagged a staggered set of 17" Blizzak WS60's for the car(tirerack). I will be taking the summers off soon and will use the winter tire/rim setup for the winter months. I cannot imagine using summer tires or even standard all seasons in this car...yikes, too much power.
So for those of you in Chicago, what's this local club about? I live outside of Milwaukee.

Consider a second car (like a used 4wd Jeep) for those nasty weather days, works well for me.
But I realize the 2nd car option involves additional parking expense in your downtown location.
