235/35 and 265/30 should work on the AWD no problem, since it is only a .85% difference.

Your best bet would be to google images of 235/35/19 tires on a 8.5" wide wheel to get the best idea of how it would look. It may still look like it has a mild stretch though.

I have a set of rims that are 19x8.5 front +35 and 19x9.5 rear +40. My car is awd and I have the h&r springs installed. I'm really having a hard time deciding what tire size to get to avoid rubbing. I would prefer the 235/35/19 and 275/30/19 but am worried the rear is gonna rub?? Should I just go with 225/35/19 and 265/30/19?

The rear definitely will not rub. I'm currently running 19x10.5 +43 rears with 275/30 tires and they clear by a couple of mm with natural camber. I'm lowered to almost zero gap in the rear.

The fronts are another story. Running 19x8 +37 with 235/35, just about the same gap as the rear, with natural camber, and I've rubbed a small part of the fender liner away. I rub on the bumper tab on big dips, so I'll eventually have to do a bumper tab relocate this summer when I correct the camber.

I was looking at getting tires and rims for spring. I have a 2010 is250 awd.
I am lowered on megan ez coilovers.

Would 18x9.5 front +30 and 18x10.5 +30 fit?
Reading at through this thread, Im guessing I should go with 225/40/18 front and 255/35/18 rear?

Do you think I would need to do major fender mods or rolling the fenders would be fine?

Yeah with the 225 it's a stretch but you don't have a choice on awd. I ran 9+35 on 235/35 without rub before. Depending on how low you go will depend on the rub.

Yeah I'm not too concerned with the tire being stretched I drive like a grandpa anyways I was more so worried about a 9.5 wheel not clear I g the control arm. U don't think that'll be an issue?

^^^^^9.5 up front is really pushing it
you might need spacers to fit and even then idk
from what I know 9 is right about flush fitment upfront

I would say test to fit or measure before you do anything 8.5 or 9 safer though

9.5 ain't pushing most of the IS running 9.5 including me. Even tasty awd running 19x10 up front. To OP you'll be fine your not on bkk so clearing caliper isn't an issue either.

I would love to test fit but unfortunately the wheels I plan on getting is out in cali, and if I ran spacers I'd definitely need some fender work. I might even need it already without spacers? My car is a daily btw, I just wanna make sure I get this right without screwing my tranny in the long run, or have daily driving issues lol, if I was to get a 9 vs 9.5 in front I'd have to wait 3-4 months bc theyll have to be shipped from japan the 9.5 wheels are already here so I'm trying to get it now

Like I said depending on how low you go you might need to roll the fender and trim the bumper tab. It's just up to you if you want the 9 or 9.5 it your preference. It also the wait time of course. Again you won't need spacer unless your running bbk and it not the rite disk wheel.

thanks man, guess I'll have to sleep on it lol
btw I dont plan on going low its at a conservative drop 1.25 I dont think ill go lower and sacrifice being able to get up drive ways and getting through the rough roads here

Remy you'll be fine with 18x9.5 +35 up front. It will be just about flush with camber set to about -0.5 degrees. You can do 235/40 to fill out the wheel gap a bit more, but if you plan on doing fender work (ie. bumper tab relocate and shave away extra metal, heat up and bend back fender liner, and fender roll), you can go all the way to 245/40 easy.

I'm running 245/40s on 18x9.5 +30 wheels all around on my AWD right now. Front fenders rolled slightly, fender liner mostly rubbed away, bumper tab metal bent back a bit. I do rub on heavy dips and sometimes when I turn. Let me take a couple of pics for reference.
