Profile is relative to width

Go here, then go down to "aspect ratio" where it explains it-

Can the staggered gurus please give me advise on offset and tire sizes I am trying to get 19 x 8.5 in the front and 19 x 9.5 rear. What offset should I get and tire sizes to keep the rolling diameter as close to as possible for my awd. I am goign to get work vs-xx.

^^^ Offsets are very subjective, I'll leave that to others to offer "opinions", no right answer.

Regarding tire sizes with rolling diameter as close as possible to being identical:

front 235/35/19
rear 275/30/19

Great info,
Does any one have a pic of the 275-30-19 rear. I wanna see how "meaty" the tires are

I have them on my IS350rwd (rear 19x9.5 45 offset, 275/30/19 T1R tire), but no good close-up picture. They fill out the wheelwells nicely and zero rubbing.

Would it be okay if I ran 225/40/18 in fronts, and 225/45/18 in rear?....I believe rims are non staggered..im not sure if rolling diameter is different...planning to use my SC's rims while I preserve my blizzaks for winter...thanks

No, that will not work, rolling diameter is different. 40% of 225mm is smaller than 45% of 225mm.

Default 20K miles - so far so good

just wanted to chime in again on this thread - my wife now has about 20K miles on her IS250awd (Staggered 235/35/19 & 275/30/19) - and ZERO problems.

Thought I'd add some info.

Wheels: 18 x 8 F and 18 x 8.5 R OEM 18s (same offset, don't remember, but really high. 45?)
Tires: Goodyear Eagle F1's 245/35/18 F & R

Miles: 50,000 in two years (yes, 25k per year). Side note, the vehicle has 75k in 3 years. I used to have a nasty commute, but thankfully not anymore.
Issues: None. Gas mileage appears to not have changed when I was running OEM 17s.

Thoughts: Seemed fine at the time until I realized the risks. But while running that setup, I encountered no problems, performed basic maintenance myself and kept up with major services at the dealership.

Then I decided to swap to GT-7s (19 x 8 +43) and TE37s (19 x 8.5 +43) to avoid being staggered. I used a 15mm spacer for the front and 25mm for the rear. Again, those Volks were not staggered and I'm also dropped on BC Racing coilovers.

Now, however, I'm purchasing a new set and going back to staggered. Going to be running 19 x 9.5 +35 F and 19 x 10.5 +35 R. Tire sizes will be 235/35/19 F and 265/30/19 R. Volk set #3, here I come! Time to wait a lifetime.

I'm thinking about getting a set of the G35 18" sport rims. The front tires are 225/45/18 and the rear tires are 245/40/18. would this even work on my is250 awd? I am a noob at this.
