sorry to hear about this unfortunate event man....the most important thing is that you're okay. Most people here in NC can't drive for ish...
BTW, where are you located? I'm over in Chapel Hill. Was the meet in Wilmington a Lexus meet?
Anyhow...hope everything works out. If it's totaled consider a 350 (or if you're ballin without a buget-ISF FTW).

Glad you're OK. Thank Lexus for all those safety features that worked.
An Explorer at 45mph is a force to be reckoned, and one I don't want to meet up with.
Love Lexus for it's solid construction and safety features. Way back in 1993 our AuPair in our '91 250ES T-boned a Caddy that ran a stop. $20K in damage back then. She went to Mexico 3 days later. Only injuries were scratches and bruises.

Thanks guys for the all the words! Just woke up hurting like hell cant move too well because of my back. I'm about to go to the doctors on campus once they open. We are going to be pushing HARD for a total, no car is ever the same after being fixed, and when the carfax is pulled it drops the value a lot too.

for it to be a total, damages have to equal more than about 55-60% of the current value of the car for it to make it worth while for the insurance company to cover it.
super glad to here you are ok. and i cant believe that your seat did that. im happy no one was sitting there.

Wow... that sucks. Sorry to hear, bro. Word of advice, though... don't let them off the hook in terms of your health / back / pain. The problem with the human body is that it deals with shock / residual pain later, so you won't necessarily "feel" anything for a while. Don't brush it off until you see a professional about this; trust me, even the smallest of accidents can cause severe damage. Human bodies just weren't made to go more than 10-15 mph, so when something like this happens, you gotta be extra-careful.
