new shoes
So in the recent years I have found that as soon as you get a new car and join a forum, it is inevitable that you will begin to mod your car (at least with me)
I'm starting with the basics.. here are the new wheels I picked up last week
And while I just got the Tein S springs in the mail, they are not on yet and so I am just waiting for you punks to harass me about the stock ride height of my AWD... bring it
And BITE ME! in advance for hating on this last pic blah blah blah.. haha IT WILL BE FIXED SOON ENOUGH
I AM GETTING SOME 44X12.50'S SUPER SWAMPERS TO PUT ON!

I've driven ~30k and my shocks have yet to go and I'm lowered on nf210, a bit more conservative I guess than s-techs but it shud be around the same time of wear. Besides, you can get coils for the awd now

As mentioned above I did waaaaay to much reading on here (CL) before i pulled the trigger on both wheels and the springs. Having the AWD seemingly makes the world of modifications abit more difficult.
1. Everything I've read says you CAN usa a stagger on the wheels, but it will cause some issues with awd system, and that isn't something I want to play around with. Plus I really like how these came out anyway.
2. For the springs. everyone has their favorite flavor: eibach, h&r, tien, roadmagnet, megan, etc... I chose the tiens because they seemed like they would offer a good drop on the awd and also be able to be silent while driving because of the construction of them and i guess also the rubber pads (or covers) or whatever they put on them. You can see the brown layer on top of the green on the springs. I will post up some pics.
So why not coilovers? While it is great that people are making them for us awd'ers my budget simply doesn't allow for it or I would. especially being somewhere where in the summer it is 110 and sunny and come winter time it is 10 and sleeting ice all day, having the ability to adjust ride height would be great...that will come in time.
tomorrow the springs go on (I have to figure out how I'm getting around all day while my car is at the shop) and I will of course litter the forum with pics
