Yeah...blame the Edmunds.com driver not knowing how to launch his IS.

Road and Track managed a 4.9 0-60 for the IS350, which is the same as the 335i time you quote.

It's honestly about a dead heat all else being equal... though the BMW driver will be lighter by 10-15 thousand bucks if they're similarly equipped, so there's that going for it. Given the price the 335i really ought be compared to an IS-F, which spanks it pretty badly stock for stock.

Here.. bone stock IS350 running 13.2 seconds.

quickest stock 335 running 13.2 also..

Again. Same driver, same weather conditions, same day, same track. This is called a controlled environment. Under these conditions, the 335i is faster. Apples to apples comparison. Plain and simple. What you quoted above were time slips from different days. You do realize the car will accelerate faster on colder days, for example? Also with different drivers, and a different track will make a differance.

Also, the turbo engine has a big advantage at altitude where it loses less power. Anyone over 2000 feet elevation will be losing much less power with a turbo.

*yawns* more magazine bs... as i said in a previous post, on the street things are different... anything is possible... so how many 335 owners can launch as well as the magazine editors? i seriously doubt all of them can... who buys BMWs? do real racers buy them??? not the majority thats for sure... the majority of ppl who buy BMW get it for just the badge...

i am not dissing BMW here, its one of the finest cars ever built, when its on the road and not in the shop, im dissing the skill lvls of the drivers, an is350 is basically idiot proof and thats why they win at the tracks. NO EXCUSES! a win is a win.

Don't get me wrong I LOVE my 2007 is350. I drive it mainly on the weekends but my daily driver is my 2008 Sti. The mod bug bit me as soon as I bought the Sti but while it was stock it did seem to pull a litter harder and definately cornered quicker than my is350. I learned through the IWSTI forums that the stock tune on the Sti was pretty much crap so I bought a COBB accessport and bumped the ECU to stg 1. Once I did that I was pretty sure I could outrun the is350. And just recently installed my downpipe, catback, aem cai, and am currently running the COBB stg 2 map. This made a huge difference!!!

For those people saying they are walking all over modded Evos and STi's. They obviously haven't come across a properly modded Evo or STi. My STi's is not even protuned yet and I'm pretty sure the my is350 would not be able to hang with it. BTW, check out some of the dyno sheets and track times posted on IWSTI forums or NASOIC forums.

But as far comfort(I love the interior), gas mileage, and looks IMO the is350 is the better vehicle. To bad I can't mod my is350 like I can mod my STi because I'd be all over that...and broke...

ok i'm going to start by saying don't street race...it's dangerous, not just for you but for other people on the streets to...now to answer your question. i believe it's a driver's race between a g35 and the is350; i've seen the G beat the IS and the IS beat the G...not sure about the others, but I'm pretty sure the 350 stacks up really well against almost any other stock car on the streets.

Why don't you race them and find out? It's a stupid question to ask.

You can beat a Ferrari if a grandma was driving it. A professional can beat you in a Civic if he wanted to.

Take it off the street and to the track.

Put your flame suit on.

Zzzzz I sense a 18 year old kid that mommie n daddie gunna buy a car for hahah

Ppl say the G35 and is350 is a drivers race ...
Not once has a g35 beat me yet... And the rest of the cars u listed don't even stand a chance ..

Closest car to ours stock for stock in the same class is the 335i and is350

The g35 Is a tad bit slower imo
