2008 Infiniti G37 Sport Coupe 0-60 mph 5.2 Quarter mile 13.7
2007 Infiniti G35 Sport (Manual) 0-60 mph 5.0 Quarter mile 13.5
2007 Lexus IS 350 0-60 mph 4.8 Quarter mile 13.3
2008 Lexus IS-F 0-60 mph 4.3 Quarter mile 12.6
the two infiniti figures are consistent with what I've mostly heard, that the g37 is not faster than the g35 from a dig (weight reasons? maybe others?) but I may be wrong.
it's all very comparable but who knows. I have encountered a few g37s but I'm never lined up against them at the stop light at the same time, so no luck.
Patiently waiting for road and track numbers but I don't see a data panel on the g37 as of now.

why are car makers adding more and more hp if we wanna have a car thats chipped at 65mph. its because we want more faster cars, but i think ur right. we all should just buy a 100hp car with much comfort and a lot of luxury since we all are so concerned about street racing. i think the people here who are soooo concerned about street racing should go and and trade in the 350s for a smartcar and vote with their money so car makers can stop investing so much in making faster cars. and since the "majority" of the people seemed to be on this side, i think we can even slow down global warming! so please, trade in ur 300+ IS350 if u want cars chipped at 65mph. we might not even need to chip with the smart car.

I pulled a half car on my friend who had a 03 M3 SMG with full exhaust. We went from about 30-80. And that was when I only had exhaust.
I would love to see this win you claim WITH EASE..
With that being said, I would venture to say that from 100 roll, you would probably win. But the old M3 just doesn't have the torque to hang at lower speeds.
On a serious note though, I'm calling BS.

but looking at the spec of 2010 EVO, sti both of these cars have higher torque than the IS350 and at a lower RPM also. and they say the 370z can accelerate as fast as a M3? i don't really believe that!!!! it will be just sad to see that a 370z can beat is350... which i think is somewhat likely, but iono not sure...!

i have a is350...i drove a 370z 6speed at work...trust me as soon as you get in the car and drive it...you will be able to tell that the 370 will dust the is350 with ease...now i believe that the is350 will spank the 350z cause i drove that too..but the 370z with a 3.7 liter vs our 3.5...negative
When Nissan switched from the 3.5 to the 3.7 in the Z they made the car lighter and significantly faster- it should certainly beat a 350 assuming equally good drivers.

k seriously 335i and is350 stock are pretty much the same ... its a drivers race... i dunno wat ur talking about 15 car lengths?? even and is-f wouldnt pull 15 cars on a is350 ... so thats obviously bs right there.
anyways i raced my friends stock 335i coupe last night in my is350 (modded) and i won but only by 1 car length from 0 -about 100 mph then we had to stop cus we had reached another light , oh well a win is a win !! hahaha

I have not lined up with a 370z yet but the 370z is running the same times as the IS and 335 (13.5 quarters). On paper the 370z should win but there is the driver factor!

370z is definitely faster. Relatively new car, and stock 1/4 (dragtimes) are already 13.1xx @ 106 (fastest ones). But, it's important to remember that chances are these aren't quite optimal times yet because the car hasn't been out for that long.
Yeah they go up to mid 13s, so theoretically if a 370z had a 13.5xx run and an IS had a 13.3xx run then the IS "wins", but that's silly to me and meaningless.
One should compare the optimal times for two cars to determine which is faster. That's why street racing seems so silly to me. If someone has a ****ty launch (can't get traction, say) does the other guy really "win"? I guess it depends on how you define winning, but "car that's ahead at the end of it all" is a bad way of determining it on the street, but that's probably all people care about.
you also can't control if someone gets a "jump" on the other during a street race, and those split seconds matter a lot.

The 370Z comparison isn't making much sense...the IS350 and the Z are two totally different cars. They aren't meant to compete.
Personally, I just need to be satisfied with the acceleration when I press the pedal. I don't sit around fretting about who has a car that's faster, because it really doesn't matter.
