Default Best mileage thus far = 34.5 mpg

I just did a trip from Northridge (L.A.) to Carpinteria (Santa Barbara) today and achieved 34.5 mpg. Or at least that's what the computer read as I pulled to a stop. The trip took one hour and seven minutes, averaging speeds of 65-75. No A/C, sunroof open, and headlights on. My 2003 A4 1.8T CVT did 33.7 on the same trip and was rated 23/29 before the EPA adjustment drop. The RWD IS250 automatic, as we know, is currently rated 21/29, or 24/32 before the EPA adjustment. The trip back home (more uphill and in some heavy fog) yielded 32.1 mpg. Not half bad!

Congrats!
I guess that's in line with my IS250AWD gettoing 30.5out/29.5return on a recent 6hr trip from W.Hartford,CT to Rochester,NY. I would expect the AWD to get a lower mileage than a RWD.

Wow, Fizzboy7... that's really good. My average (mix city/hwy) is about 24-25. On one trip from New Orleans to Houston, though, I got a solid 32.2 mpg. Granted, that was going at 80-82 mph with AC and headlights on!

My best in the AWD was 31 avg doing 60 on the highway to the mall lol.

On my trip to RI from NJ doing normal highway speed and plenty of speeding and passing yields around 27 mpg

I actually achieved about the same highway mileage few weeks ago going from Anaheim to San Diego starting at half tank of gas. I remember the display shows 34.4mpg when I got to SD and 32.5mpg on the way back (guess I was in a hurry to get home going a little over 80). Mine is also 250RWD.

Wow... 35 mpg is really good. The drive to Santa Barbara is always a nice and relaxing cruise.

It was good until I hit a wall of fog at Ventura. But compared to 100 in the Valley, it was paradise.

I've hit 35 on the drive to and from home. Other than that average between 25-29.
Best so far though was 38 on drive to Vegas, barely touched the gas haha.

Wow, 34/35 that's great! I recently bettered my previous best tank of 29.5 with 31 mpg on a trip from MA to NJ. It's impressive how efficient this car is. Gotta love 6+ speed transmissions too.
