Default Rear GFX kit with 3m tape only?

I put the front and sides on this weekend and am debating just using 3m tape to put the rear on. I have read that some on here have did that. Can you guys that have done so, let me know how it has held up for you. Thanks in adv.

I installed my GFX rear using only the 3M tape and added additional red 3M tape to the rear and sides. I didn't want to drill holes into my car. I installed it about 7 months ago....no problems / no gaps and it is very secure...of course it won't be as secure as drilling and bolting it down, but it's not just going to fall off unless someone rear ends me. Be sure to have a buddy help you with the install for proper alignment. I didn't cut the exhaust flares either and I'm running Magnaflow's with no problems. GL

You could potentially steal all my exterior mods because they're all held on by 3M. Roof Spoiler, trunk spoiler, front lip, rear lip and JDM side visors. so tragic.

Why do you think there were so many E46 M3 owners with stolen trunk spoilers? lol.

The only thing that will be hard to remove would be the Visors, unless they don't care about damage, then the visor is useless. The roof spoiler also, the 3M tape adheres to the glass STRONGLY. My Lexon Roof Spoiler cracked in the middle from being removed.

I would have taped mine.. but I don't trust the AZ heat and crazy weather.. I was lucky to have a shop do mine for free.

I just ordered my kit and was reading the instructions saying that I had too cut the rear bumper, are you telling me that I do not have to cut? If so that is great as I prefer to do this than cut up my bumper.

Yes, Do not cut your bumper, just add some extra 3M tape and stick that baby on there, make sure you use two people to get it flush. But it is as easy as that.
