Hear me out, I'm not here to complain about creaking but rather asking if anyone has successfully fix them.

I have creaks (not rattles) around center A/C vents and center console around the shifter area. My car is 08 IS250 6MT. I want to ask if anyone has successfully get the dealer to fix the creaks or tried to fix it yourself (my guess would be some cushion around the pieces). I tried to bring mine in once but they claim it's normal.

These creaks are REALLLY annoy me especially during hot days (summer). It creaks so bad (first 5-10 min) when start driving w/ A/C on then settle down but still creaks once in a while.

If dealer, pls let me know how you do it? what reasons? If you do it yourself, instructions/diy is appreciated.

Mines rattles around the shifter area also. I found that in my case it was the plastic trim pieces, so I pulled them up and reseated them. Didn't really make the rattle go away, but it is much less obvious now.

are you talking about the aluminum-like trim that go along the shifter? how you take it out? see no screws or open space to pry it

I know one of my friend took it in for creaking/rattle and now it's fixed
but I have no idea how it's been fixed tho

my sun roof rattles...it's pretty annoying =(
