diff mesh and you're good to go. i actually did this with mesh from home depot when i had my grill off to paint to see how it would look like.. it looked good but i didn't like how the horns were very visible

I know I'm new on this forum, but I'm not new to cars or creating innovative/new mods that no ones done before. But I have seen better mesh grilles on civics. It looked like you used the screen for your screen door from your house. Not only does that grille look flimsy, you have to think security wise. I havent checked out the latch system under the hood, whether or not you can easily pop the hood from cracking open the grille. but if someone were to cut that mesh, it shouldnt be hard to pop open your hood, etc.
I think you would be better off getting a stronger mesh, they sell it all over the place and then paint it black, ideally matte black and it would look almost professionally done.
also, whats up with the right side of the grille at the top? did you crack it doing this mod? i hope not.

It was a good attempt. Much props for even attempting it. I agree with others, you need a better "mesh" maybe some "chicken wire" (sold at your local Home Depot). I think if you spend a little more time on it, making sure everything is aligned it will come out much better looking. Good luck.
