I have a set of Work sc1 in MSP finish. I had my car washed at the dealership over the weekend but I do not think they rinsed off the wheels very well. There are some hard soap stains on 3 of the lips that I can not get off. I tried rinsing, and also a black magic wheels cleaner that's safe for polished wheels and it made a mininal difference. Can I save the wheels or will I need to get the re-finished?


It's just the lips not the spokes that have the stains

polish polish polish. you can rub it out if you rub hard enough. i would say go get some polishing compound a get to work before you have them refinished. and for the future dont let the dealer wash your car. i have them write on my work ticket "Do Not Wash!" because they suck at it. and/or the mess something up

If they are 2 piece welded, they cannot be refinished.

Most repair places will not unweld a set of wheels due to possible liabilities when they rewelded them after the repair.

Never use any chemicals on your rims. Soap and water, if you use chemicals they will make your rims fade away like they are supposed to make stains fade away.
Make sense!?!
