I was just google-ing the blitz grill, and ran into this.

Its a carbon fiber REPLICA blitz grill, $197 shipped. Seems like a good price for those on a budget.
The thing that caught my attention was the comments. (look towards the boom of the page).

^ +1.
however, nothing a little double-sided tape + weather stripping DIY won't fix.
also, you will need to drill holes in the top center tab for the front grille for a securing bolt and one on each flanking tab for the plastic push-tab pins that hold the front bay cover down.

just some shots.
here you can see how it doesn't fit as flush on the lower passenger corner side:
same thing on this side, though from this angle it actually looks alright, though you'll see past the grille and see the bumper. this will be an issue on lighter-colored cars; not so much for dark-colored cars.
straight on, you can see the slotted tabs that hold in the oem grille. again, like the previous pic, the slotted tabs will not be pronounced on dark-colored cars.
it's not bad, but you'll have to play with it to get it to fit with it properly. i plan to hit up home depot for some thin weather stripping and double-sided tape to fill in the gaps, and use electrical tape to black out the slotted tabs and part of the bumper that shows behind the grille.

Did someone say replica?
Looks really nice, but like you said its not a perfect fit. In this case, you're better off by spending more money to get real Blitz grill that will fit your IS perfectly.
But I have to give you props for thinking of solution to solve the imperfection as well, great find!

no one has asked me about it, but i'm certainly not going to fool anyone by passing it off as or pretending it to be a branded, real carbon fiber grille.
but i suppose i should say that this is a no-brand-name, carbon-fiber-print, (most likely) ebay grille. so yes, it is a replica grille... but of what, i have no idea.
compared to the blitz grille, it's a different look. also, it's not as expensive. i certainly do not have the budget for the blitz grille, though i'm not sure i would spend $800 or however much it costs for the real deal even if i did.
it certainly has its share of fitment issues, but i think some black electrical tape to cover up the noticeable areas behind the grille and some double-sided tape + weather stripping should help create a better seal along the edges.
