Default new IS250 owner acceleration question

So I got a new 2009 IS250 about 3 days ago.

The first morning after delivery of the vehicle, I started the car to a very jerky backing out of the garage, the Check Engine light was on and the Traction Control Light was on.

I promptly took the car to the dealer, and they kept it over night saying they "think we fixed it", which I don't think they did anything except reset the timing warning.

The question I have is when in normal drive (automatic) if I put the gas to the floor should the acceleration be smooth? Mine seems like there is a slight delay/jerk and the RPM gauge make two quick jumps then the car takes off.

I don't remember the test drive vehicle or the loaner car I have doing this, but maybe I am just being paranoid now since already had some problems.

Probably a stupid question but thanks for any replies.

The jerk is the transmission downshifting and then accelerating. If in normal mode (not sport) this shift will seem long.

Before I had my F I had the IS250AWD...slow car and such if I didn't switch to sport mode the downshifts seemed to take forever.
