Help! Driver side headlight will not stay on. Shuts off automatically.
I did a search but could not find an issue similar to mine. This morning I go out and start my car and notice that the driver side headlight is out, I get into my car and switch it from auto to off and then on again and notice the light turns on then shuts off after a couple of seconds. The passenger side headlamp seems to be working fine. Has anyone had a similar issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm thinking it's an electrical issue, fuse related?
P.s. I have OEM HID headlights.

Probably just need a new bulb. I had the same issue on the passenger side, so replaced the bulb and all is well now. If you're looking to replace with the same bulb, they're all over ebay for the exact same bulb as sold at the dealer but for a fraction of the cost. I got two shipped for under $100, my ocal dealer wanted $430 for each.

Awesome, I'll take your word for it. Weird, you would think the bulbs wouldnt even light up if it was faulty or burnt out.
edit:
I know 06 IS350's use D4S bulbs, but is there a certain model no.? I should also mention I am anti-ebay. Maybe going to l-tunedparts/sewell lexus would be a better idea?

I thought the same thing, but after a slight panic, then calling my local Toyota dealer, I was convinced it was the bulb.
The bulb I got is the Philips XenEco 42402 D4s. When I pulled out the stock bulb, it's the same brand, model, etc... can't figure out why such a huge price difference.
