I've had all weather floor mats since I have had my car in late '07. Never had a problem with them, and I still don't have a hole in the driver's side mat (even after driving in high heels several times). The mat on my driver's side doesn't come close to hitting the pedals. I love my mats, and I don't plan on getting rid of them.

Yes, and the facts and reality YOU JUST POSTED have Toyota clearly stating the problem was the floormat being installed incorrectly.

In fact, the recall for millions of cars is for what?

Floormats.

Do you only read the first couple sentences or something?

Can you tell me why we're talking about the very old news regarding mats again? I think you meant to talk about the defective electronic throttle systems that was flap on since 2001, not the flootmats right?

"arguing that "hundreds of thousands" of individuals could be affected by sudden acceleration caused by defective electronic throttle systems."

No I didn't, since that problem only exists in your imagination.

In the actual recall letter from Lexus the problem is with the floormats.

The only people arguing the "electronic throttle systems" are defective are the ones trying to win money in lawsuits... and they've yet to suggest HOW they are defective, and why out of those hundreds of thousands of folks with those systems the only people who actually had accidents were ones with floormat issues too stupid to put the car into neutral.

No, the "fix" is to put a ziptie on your floormat so that it can't move. Because the "problem" is people too dumb to properly secure their floormats.

And yes, I'm 100% serious. There's a couple threads on people who've actually had it done.
