Thats why I never get gas in the city, way too expensive. Much cheaper away from the city. Like in South San Fracisco, its currently $3.28 for 91 at Chevron.

hills are overated. while yes, hills will take extra gas to get up, what goes up must come down. so it's not as bad.

is it just SF? or is my engine retarded?
it's SF traffic and block length and lights.

those who have never been to SF and have high city mileage in their own respective "cities" just don't quite understand that the each blocks are super short and while yes, many lights are timed so u can usually catch each one green traveling about 25 mph, that hardly happens with the amount of traffic.

i get 13 mpg driving my wagon in sf; others say their wagon get much higher in other "cities"... my friend watched the gas needle go down in his cayenne while driving in sf; he's since switched to a civic + cayman.

so unless u get a prius with it's regenerative braking and an electric motor's instant torque designed for city driving, u'll never get good mileage in san francisco, almost regardless if u'r aggressive or not. either way, u should not be in ect pwr if u want good gas mileage.
