hehe I remember I wanted these back in February when I ordered my wheels, but they were not offering this finish at that time

Sooo I ended up going with the gunmetal. That'd be pretty sweet if they are offering this finish now!

I think they made a few sets or had some sample sets made...

Their current part number list still only shows the Gunmetal, Silver & Bronze Finishes..

or can be special ordered in any other available finish.

But in your case, it might be easier to have yours dipped in Black Chrome.


I remember a picture floating around of a Black Stealth Chrome set on an IS250 @ Longo Lexus.. (let me see if I can find it...)


And Yeah I agree.. The Matte Finish / Theme is boring...

These were never listed as available "part #'s" - they made a few sets, but they've always been available for order. You just have to ask.

Hmm, I remember seeing them at the LA Auto Show, then in Feb 2009 asking if I could get the wheels I have now, but in that finish. I think I had worked with a Scott from Five Axis..but I don't remember now. Anyway, he said no I got the shut down on that

Just curious - how much resiliency does a black chrome dipped wheel have? I would hate to get a set and have the chrome start to flake off after a couple years or chip easily from road debris.

So, I just talked to my buddy Troy (from Five Axis). He confirmed that there were a couple of sets made with this finish. But, it was done on an experimental basis. He also confirmed that the S5:F stealth chrome finish is not available for order. IntegresS, Scott was accurate in his communication to you. Hopefully, that will make you feel better BTW, your car still looks sweet with the gunmetal finish!

 

I wish they would make more of their wheels with a staggered option. I like the R6 and R5 wheels but alas, no staggering.
