need help: pass side low beam hid stopped working, update:now works???
I guess there are more optimal places to buy the bulbs but i'm kind of in a pinch. How much are they going to cost? More mportantly, how can I verify that it's the bulb? Is there anything I can see wrong with the bulb or should I just switch them and verify that it's in fact the bulb?
thanks CL!
Update: bulb works again. after the car sat for 3hrs...Anyone, heard of this happening??

switch the bulbs from side to side and see if the problem duplicates itself on the same or opposite side.
if it's the same side, it's somewhere along the oem HID circuit. if it's on the other side, it's the bulb.
if the factory warranty is still in place, take it an authorized service center and get it taken care of there.

are they $70 each or for the pair? Do I need to replace both like you would a normal bulb? I just got it and it's LC so it's under warranty if it's the ballast. The bulb isn't covered is it? How long should they last?
sorry, i'm new to HID....

your warranty should cover not only the ballasts but also the oem D4S bulbs as well, since neither considered as a consummable item (a la brake pads).
from what i've gathered from my time on the forums, the 2is oem HID system is finicky, which means that the lifespan of bulbs - oem or aftermarket - is unpredictable at best.

well, I'm stumped. the light works now. I drove it for 4hrs today with the lights on and all was fine. Stopped for 30min and then when I went to drive again over to a house 10min away, that's when the bulb stopped working. After sitting for three hours, the light works again... Maybe the Ballast overheated? Anyone heard of this problem?

yeah, but unless it fails again, I bet they won't be able to figure out what's wrong. Either the bulb or the ballast is on it's way out I'm guessing. I guess I'll to wait and see what happens...
