Just a story I wanted to share with everyone...
Last weekend, one of my good friends and fellow IS owner, lost control of his car and hit a light pole at 70-80 mph then drove into a ditch...
They had to use the jaws of life to cut him out because the frame was so crumpled. The car absorbed so much impact that it knocked the taillights out.
Long story short...he was in ICU for a few days and was released with 8" of stitches across his eyebrow, one eye swollen shut, a few chipped teeth, scratches, bruises...
Point is: He's alive today because of the countless hours safety technicians put into our vehicles, and how well engineered our cars actually are. I've had my own experience as well...some of you may remember my head on collision I had in my 250 a few years ago that I walked away from.
Kudos to you Lexus
I can see if I can get some pics but some of them are a lil messy...

Lexus is still fragile. Recently I got into a car accident. Some guy rear ended me at 10 MPH at a stand still causing me to crash into the car in front of me. My front and rear bumper were done and my front lights were damaged. Head lights alone cost $1000 a piece.

1) most likely faster than 10 mph, especially if it caused you to crash into the car in front. Sounds more like 20-25 mph.
2) bumpers are designed to crumple in order to absorb damage to frame
