Default lock/unlock/start your ISxxx with your iPhone.

Looks cool but you still need the key fob to drive so it's not as fun.

I have the viper 5901 on my car. I did not get remote start because it requires a special module that cost $100 for the 2IS. From the looks of it, this will also require the special module and labor itself cost $100 to get the remote start wired up.

What turns me off is the annual fee. Granted it's really not much, but I just don't see the point in paying for the "service".

+1. However, if it tells you someone is too close to your car or messing with your car, that is a whole new story. I wouldn't mind paying $100 a year for that function. An alarm company need to make that function available.

yeah that would be a nice feature, but i still wouldn't see a point in having to pay an annual fee. I mean we're already paying around $1,000 for the viper smartstart + iphone, so why should we have to pay an additional fee every year?

I had the whole viper setup on my car. Id take the push start and auto unlock over that any day. Not having to take your keys out of your pocket is awesome. Although, being able to start your car 2 minutes to allow it to warm up is pretty cool too.
