Default F-sport intake?

Hello my brothers and few sisters,
This is my first modification on my is350 2009 and was wondering if it was worth it? The first mod im going to put on my car is the f-sport intake. I have read so many reviews on how the intake sounds after 3000 rpm. For the people who have installed the f-sport intake, what can you notice? More power and more smooth driving (of course the sound). Also I was wondering if the f-sport intake does give you an increase in hp but you don't notice it. I need a set of winter tires so I believe im going to purchase some new rims. Should I go with the Five axis s5 or the Work Wheels - VS XX. I want to go with an aggresive look for my black is350, so on top of that I want to get the wald front lip kit.
Give me your opinions
Thanks
Samuel Song

honestly? i have a 350 and i spent all my money for 'show' rather than 'go'... how much is the intake? and the hp gain is what 5hp? if you want sound get an exhaust. imo an intake for our cars should be last on the mod list, theres plenty of other things to buy first

ALSO... drop first then rims.

Performance gains on an intake is small compared to the cost. Bigger intake needs to go along with bigger exhaust. Having both should give some performance increase but the cost does not out weight the gains. Buy a IS 350 if you don't already have one or IS -F if you have a 350.

Intakes add about 5 hp, tops... not enough to notice (and barely enough to measure on a dyno really). It does add some sound over 3k rpms though.

We have 306 hp in our IS350. You get all those ponies at 4800 RPM. My IS350 cruise around at 3000 RPM most of the time. Which means I'm not using what I paid for.

haha yep yep, you're usually off the gas and braking and/or coasting way before you hit 4800rpm
