Default New Owner With Question About Radio

Hello,

I just recently purchased a slightly used but never abused 2006 is350. I want to listen to the stereo without the engine running. I read the owner's manual. It says to switch the ACC on or IG-On. How do I do that? It doesn't say how. I have the key that just has to be in the car and I push the button to start it. I've owned many, many cars and this is the first one that I did not have to insert the key. In those cars I simply turn the key to ACC and listened to the stereo.

Thanks for the help. I'm coming from an s2000. Quite a differrence. I'm really enjoying this car.

Congrats on the purchase and welcome to CL!

Do not press the brake and press the start button, this will start the car.

Simply don't touch any pedals, and touch the start button once, and your radio should illuminate.

get in the car and and press the Start button once, don't put your foot on the brake pedal. The light on the button will turn Amber. Radio should come one. Press it again and ACC will come one. Press it while your foot on the brake pedal the car will start.

If you chose to listen to the radio without ACC on, don't forget the press the start button from Radio to ACC to OFF (twice) until the light on the button is off.

If the car is already running and you want to continue to listen to the radio, shift to NEUTRAL and press the start button. The engine will turn off, and the radio will continue. Then shift to PARK.
