I know that the entire mirror unit from the 2009 ISx50 can be fitted to the 2006 ISx50, but what i am wondering is if just the back cover will fit? the cover that has the chrome indicator lights?

If not, does anyone know if it would be possible to takeout the chrome light cover from the back cover of the 09 model and embed/cut it into the 06 mirror cover?

No you have to get a whole new mirror assembly, the 09 mirror is smaller than the 06-08. Not only that but the wiring is different. Its possible but requires a little modification.

that's funny, i think the 09-10 looks a lot nicer compared to the JDM.. the JDM's light housing seems kinda bulky

iono, i've always prefered the 09-10 ones. the JDM just don't appeal to me and looks a bit out of place imo. =\
