Default Why would anyone paint a new ISxxx FLAT BLACK?!

I saw an ISxxx painted flat black. Looks more like done with a can of spray paint. I also saw a Nissan Skyline GT-R painted like that too. Why would someone destroy a nice shiny new car by doing that?

I actually like it! Each to his own, everyone has his or her own taste.

I don't see a correlation between flat black and money.....flat black=money???? what if they custom paint it candy apple red or other non-flat instead of flat black, would money be an issue? It's a perosonal preference to me...I personally don't like the spray paint look, but it does look mean.

some people like to be extremely different.. and i like it!!! if i'm not mistaken it's johnnyboy's car and i believed he got it painted like that. leave it to johnnyboy to step up the modding game uv's car on here is vinyl'd and that thing is sick too. i love the flat black look but that's just me.

I've seen good examples and bad examples of flat black cars. Perhaps you saw a bad example.

Satin black finishes, like johnnyboy's IS, look mighty fine.

I loved the satin black paint Johnny had on his car too. I also like it on the LFA.

People do it because they can can its their money. Everyone gets enjoyment out of spending their own money their own way. Same as way some people keep their cars 100% stock and are okay with that, while others take it to a shop for airbags, rims, and a stereo right off the showroom floor. After all, its just a car. Its not like taking your brand new baby to the tattoo parlor for a tattoo or anything like that.

Depends on the car. Personally, I think it looks stupid on an IS.
